Behavior-Based Safety


Behavior-Based Safety is an approach to understanding the factors that contribute to safe and unsafe behavior and how these behaviors are reinforced or modified to achieve a safety culture in the organization.

This course deals with how behavioral changes towards safety can be realized with the use of classical theoretical models and contemporary practical applications related to seafarers’ experience; and the interplay of hazard identification and risk management in achieving individual and organizational safety.

COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
