NTC Course
Hydraulics and Electro-Hydraulics (ET Marine)
Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering Hydraulics and Electro-Hydraulics
This course is intended for sea going engineers who are required to operate, maintain and to repair various control systems found on-board. It generally provides fundamental knowledge and skills required to operate, maintain and repair hydraulic and Electro-Hydraulic system onboard.
In general, the course highly contributes in meeting the competency requirements relevant to function 2 “Operation & Maintenance of Electronic and Control Systems” specified in Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code, as amended.
COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
The course
aims to provide the advance understanding of onboard Hydraulics System which is
relevant for the ship’s automated control systems.
In effect, it shall enable participants to
interpret responses of the controller, analyze & repair control circuits
involving hydraulics system. To realize this, the participants must be able to
identify corresponding hydraulics components and its function to control the
operation of ship’s main and auxiliary machineries.
COVERAGE / PROGRAM FOCUS:
This course essentially deals with the
following subject and training areas:
- Introduction to Hydraulics
- Structure of Hydraulic System
- Hydraulic Valves
- Electro-Hydraulic System and Maintenance
- Sequence Control and Troubleshooting
Entry Requirement / Target Group:
ENTRY REQUIREMENT / TARGET GROUP:
