This course is intended for all ship’s officers and personnel engaged in Liquefied Gas Carrier operation. It is designed to provide refresher lessons and instructions on the functions, operational & system requirements as well as safety precautions intended for Emergency Shutdown (ESD) System as integral system components onboard liquefied gas carriers.
COURSE
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
The course aims to provide applied knowledge and technical understanding that
shall enable participants to:
- Acquire refresher lesson on “Golden Rules” of Tanker Practice
- Explain the concept and implication of "Pressure Surge"
- Discuss and analyze a certain ESD Operation/Activation Incident and be able to establish preventive measures to avoid repeats of such incident
- Describe process for various ESD System Operation/Activation
