NTC Course
Pneumatics for Marine Application
Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering Pneumatics for Marine Application
This course is intended for marine engine officers and electrical officers. It is designed to provide basic understanding of the design and principles of Pneumatics leading to creation and implementation of simple solutions and programs.
The core of instruction deals with
technical lessons on how to translate, design, test, troubleshoot and document
simple control tasks into fully operational pneumatic and hydraulic
applications used in maritime industries.
COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
At the end of
the course, online participants should be able to replicate control task into
fully operational Pneumatic solutions and consequently test and commission
these solutions using a circuit simulator – developing skills which will enable
them to maintain and repair onboard Pneumatics System.
COVERAGE / PROGRAM FOCUS:
The online course deals with the following
subject & training areas with corresponding guided exercises relevant to
marine applications:
- Fundamental Principles Pneumatic Control
System
- Interpretation and tracing of ship’s
pneumatic control systems
- Actuators and Control Valves
- Case study-analysis and rectification/faults in pneumatic on ship’s system
- Maintenance and repair procedures
Entry Requirement / Target Group:
ENTRY REQUIREMENT / TARGET GROUP:
Entry to this course is open to all engineer officers as well as
