This e-learning course is intended for deck & engine officer and ratings. The course deals with the application of inert gas and the components of Inert Gas System (IGS) including operational aspect and basic maintenance procedures. In effect, it provides fundamental knowledge and awareness on the safe operation and maintenance of an IGS in view of safe & efficient cargo operations on board tankers fitted with this type of equipment.
